Kia Kaha
Kia Kaha (Māori for "Stay Strong") is our current home sim in SecondLife.
Inspired by the rainforests in New Zealand, Kia is a dedicated surf sim. No rentals, no shops or stores, no nightclubs ;-)
The backstory goes like this......
When we found Kia she was completely overgrown. The rainforest had taken over and covered any trace of previous inhabitants. After a few days with chainsaws and bulldozers we uncovered signs of an ancient surf-tribe that had at one time settled here.
Since then we have been careful to leave much of the ruins undisturbed . There are lot´s of hidden gems to be found in the rainforest and the trails on both sides of Kia Bay. The waterways that lead down to the bay from the rainforest are best explored in inner tubes or SUP boards.
Once one makes it down to the waters edge, the incredible waves rolling into Kia bay will make it easy to understand why those ancient surfers once settled here.
